Motorists travelling on the N25 between Waterford and Rosslare Harbour, via New Ross in County Wexford, are advised to excercise extreme caution following another weather alert from Met Éireann.

An alert issued by Wexford County Council indicated reports of spot flooding and heavy surface water accumulation on the N30 between New Ross and Enniscorthy.

In addition the N25 from Waterford to Rosslare Harbour - in particular between New Ross and the coastal port is also reported to have heavy surface water in places.

Met Éireann and the local authority is urging motorists to drive with extreme caution.

It's expected there will be more heavy rainfall showers across Friday, January 30, which will result in rain falling on already saturated ground.
