Waterford man leads Jazz Quartet

The Jazz Quartet will be led by Waterford man Killian Browne.
The Killian Browne Jazz Quartet brings together four fine musicians who have performed in various musical ensembles in Waterford over many years and who will take to the stage together again on Wednesday, September 25.
Waterford native, Killian Browne (piano), will be joined by Dylan Bible (guitar), Cillian Byrne (double bass) and Lorcan Byrne (drums) who will perform a collection of warm, acoustic jazz and traditional music pieces from Ireland, America and other parts of the world.
The quartet has compiled a programme which features jazz standards from the likes of Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins; while the Irish traditional music element will include the lively 'Idir Eatarthu' from Clonmel-born composer Micheál Ó Suilleabháin, as the quartet will perform their own arrangement of one of Ireland's most loved pieces, 'Inis Oirr'.
Not only will the quartet showcase the popular greats of jazz and traditional Irish music, but an original composition from Killian Browne himself will be played on the night. Killian said he's "really looking forward to the gig" and playing alongside "three lovely people."
