The official launch of this year’s event was marked by a special ceremony, with Mayor of Waterford City and County, Councillor Jason Murphy, joined by Ella and Robyn Whelan and Shauna Weldon, to kick off the spooky festivities.

The event, which has become a highlight of the autumn season, invites visitors to enjoy a walk through the tunnel’s unique blend of scary light and sound.

As you journey through the dimly lit, atmospheric tunnel, visitors can expect to encounter a few spooky surprises and ghostly decorations designed to send shivers down your spine.

The immersive walk-through experience is sure to delight thrill-seekers and families alike, providing a perfect blend of fun and fright, whether you’re a fan of all things spooky or simply looking for a unique Halloween outing.

Running from Friday, October 25, until Friday, November 1, the Spooky Tunnel promises an eerie and atmospheric experience to add that touch of Halloween magic to the famed Waterford Greenway.

What better way to have a spooktacular run-in to the Halloween weekend.
