Concert of Hope to take place in County Waterford
The 'Concert of Hope' in aid of Pieta will take place on May 1.
A very special event will take place in County Waterford next month.
A Concert of Hope will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, Dunmore East, on Friday, May 1, with the performance getting under way at 8pm.
The idea to stage the concert was inspired by a local person who had need of the valuable services of Pieta.
In appreciation of Pieta's services he wanted to do something to thank them in return.
The idea of a concert of beautiful music met their needs very well.
The diverse lineup of music acts scheduled to appear will cover a broad range of genres from classical to folk and traditional.
One of those behind the concert commented: "The high quality of performers is sure to send you home feeling more hopeful than when you arrived."
The lineup of acts includes Karissa Thatcher (harp), John Stone (pipes), Katie Power (singer), SETU Music School Guitar Ensemble, Adam Mernin (trumpet), Dunmore East Christian Fellowship Choir, Daniel Mernin (brass and bass), and Waterford Indian Sangam (singers).
Tickets, at €15 each, are available from John Palmer Music, George's St., Waterford, and Costcutter, Dock Road, Dunmore East.
