250 schools across the country took part in the inaugural Grow2CEO competition, to find Ireland’s next generation of budding food entrepreneurs.

Each school that registered to take part received a GIY pea growing kit to plant the seed of 'wonder food' and took 16-weeks training to develop a brand new food business.

Founder of GIY Michael Kelly said: “For such a small country Ireland punches above its weight when it comes to top-class food businesses."

The winners were Enfield Community College, Meath; St. Colman’s Community College in Cork; Coláiste Fionnchua in Cork and Scariff Community College in County Clare.
