Garda has pre-season 'friendly' with Special Olympics Waterford soccer players

Garda O'Byrne, from Waterford Gardaí, met with members of Special Olympics Waterford recently, ahead of the forthcoming soccer season.

In an online post the force noted: "Garda O'Byrne had the pleasure of being invited to attend an evening with Special Olympics Waterford. This was before the start of this season's soccer campaign."

While there Garda O'Byrne spoke about personal safety and safeguarding.

He also wished the branch members the best of luck for the upcoming campaign.

'An incredible team of individuals and coaches that Garda O'Byrne was privileged to meet,' noted the Gardaí in their online post.
