The Garda Community Van will be visiting areas of Waterford in December

The Gardaí will be visiting a number of locations in Waterford pn Wednesday, December 11 with their Community Van.

The aim of the visits will be to give local people the opportunity to report crime, discuss concerns they have and also to get help completing form and any other business that requires Garda attention.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí told Waterford News & Star that the clinics will provide "an excellent opportunity for engagement with local communities".

The initial locations will include Kilrossanty Community Centre Car Park (from 10am to 11.30am), Stradbally Town Square (from 12noon to 1.30pm) and Rathgormack Church Car Park (from 2.30pm to 4pm).

The Garda spokesperson said it's planned that following the initial phase the Community Van initiative will be extended to other areas within Waterford's Community Engagement Area.
