The Gardaí in Waterford are investigating an alleged robbery that occurred following an assault.

The incident happened on November 21, at approximately 8.30pm, on the Ross Road in Ferrybank.

A spokesperson for Waterford Gardaí said a 16-year-old youth was assaulted and allegedly robbed by three other youths. 

"The injured party sustained injuries that required medical attention at UHW," said the Garda spokesperson in a statement to Waterford News & Star.

"We are anxious to talk to anyone who was in the area near the church and graveyard on Ross Road at this time, or if they can assist us in identifying these three youths," she added.
