Sean McCarthy is recovering from a traumatic brain injury

A local community fundraising book sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29.

The event will take place on the green in Chapelgate, Kilmacow, with all proceeds going towards the care of local man Sean McCarthy who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury.

Organised by Sean’s wife, Annmarie, the sale, will run from 12noon until 6pm on both days and will see books offered at a bargain rate of three for €1.

Attendees will also be encouraged to fill a few bags and leave a donation of their choice.

The organisers are encouraging everyone in the community to show their support for Sean’s ongoing recovery journey.

“All money raised is going to Sean McCarthy to help with his care after his devastating brain injury,” said one of those involved, before adding: “Every euro will make a difference.”

Supporters can also follow Sean’s recovery story on Instagram at @seans_new_life.Recovery after traumatic brain injury.

In the meantime why not go along, pick up a great read, and support a worthy cause.
