A fundraising campaign has been launched following the death of a Waterford man overseas.
Colin Morrissey, late of Rocksprings, Clarinwood, Tramore, Co. Waterford, and formerly of Moonloun, Tramore, Co Waterford, passed away suddenly in Port Alfred, South Africa, on August 15, 2024.
An online fundraiser organised by his sister Trish Sheridan says: “Sadly, our brother Colin passed away suddenly in South Africa leaving behind his two young sons. As you can imagine it’s been very difficult to organise everything with all of us being so far away.
“Myself and my brothers are raising funds to help us give him the send-off he deserved in South Africa and here in Ireland where our mother, his extended family and friends can say their final goodbyes."
Over €2,000 has been raised since the fundraiser launched a week ago.
