Fundraiser for SVP raises €105,000
WLR raised €105,000 for SVP during their Christmas Appeal.
Waterford Local Radio has raised more than €105,000 for the St. Vincent de Paul charity through listeners' donations and contributions from local businesses and corporate sponsors.
The funds will go towards the charity which provides vital assistance to those in need during the Christmas period and into the New Year.
WLR ran a series of events across Waterford for listeners to raise money for the appeal including three Christmas Community Concerts across the county for the cause. A spokesperson for SVP, said the charity is "deeply grateful to WLR and the entire Waterford community for their incredible support this Christmas" and that the funds will "have a significant impact on the lives of those who are struggling."
