Funding granted for playground in Waterford
The funding has been designated for a Panda Theme Playground in Ballymacarbry.
€16,953.06 in funding has been designated for a Panda Theme Playground for Ballymacarbry, one of 30 projects across the country awarded funding under the Play and Recreation Grant Scheme for 2024. A total of €450,000 has been awarded to 30 Local Authorities.
Speaking on the announcement, Marc Ó Cathasaigh, T.D. said: “I am delighted to see investment for play areas and recreation facilities for children right across the country, and especially so for families in Ballymacarbry.
"We should not underestimate the need for quality play areas for our families, they are essential for children’s development, physical and mental health and their social skills."
