A fresh yellow weather warning is to come into effect from 11am on Monday.

Met Éireann say temperatures will fall between -1 and -3 with sharp frost, icy stretches and black ice also expected.

Motorists are advised that travel conditions will be “treacherous”.

The warning is in effect until 9am on Tuesday.

The rest of Munster, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway and Roscommon are also affected.
