Free programme in Waterford for parents of children and teens with anxiety

A free programme will begin in Waterford this month for parents of children and teenagers who are experiencing anxiety
A free programme will begin in Waterford this month for parents of children and teenagers who are experiencing anxiety.
The initiative will be aimed at parents of children aged 4 to 12, and also teenagers, who are experiencing such a feeling.
It will take place in the Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre.
The progreamme for parents of teenagers will take place on Tuesday, September 16, from 7pm to 9pm.
The programme for parents of children aged 4 to 12 will take place on Friday, September 12 from 9.30am to 11.30am.
The initiative will run for one day a week, for 10 weeks, and will be facilitated by a creative arts therapist in a confidential space.
The organisers are encouraging parents to share their experiences with other parents and in doing so indentify their own strengths and resources. There will also be an opportunity to discuss friendship groups, social media and peer pressure in addition to learning regulation techniques and boundaries that will work for their and their teenager or child.
