Despite our small county, Waterford has one of the largest and most diverse arts scenes in the country.

This was made abundantly clear from the release of the shortlist of one of Ireland’s most prestigious awards.

The An Post Irish Book Awards is celebrating its 20th year of championing Irish writing and the line up of talent does not disappoint.

This year, four Waterford writers have a chance to win a prestigious award.

Rose Keating has been shortlisted for Newcomer of the Year with her wonderfully bizarre debut collection of short stories, 'Oddbody'.
