Waterford City and County Council has received an application to retain an existing 25-metre telecommunications tower in Harristown, Dunmore East.
The hexagonal lattice tower, located in a rural area near Fairybush Cross in Harristown to the north of Dunmore East, was previously granted from the council in 2015 to a Meteor Mobile company.
The telecommunications structure carries antennae and dishes to provide high-speed wireless broadband and data services, the developer Emerald Tower Limited said in their retention application.
