Extra rail services to Waterford from Dublin

Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) has announced extra Intercity services for Waterford, alongside other additional services across Ireland.
According to national rail network operator, the 8.15pm Heuston to Carlow service, Monday to Saturday, will be deferred to 8.20pm and extended to Waterford.
The 9.37pm Carlow to Heuston service, Monday to Saturday, will also commence from Waterford at 8.20pm.
There will also be an additional service each way between Dublin and Waterford on Sundays bringing the total services to five in each direction.
Irish Rail also announced the expansion of its Intercity railcar fleet to improve capacity on its routes.
The railcar fleet will increase from 234 carriages to 275 carriages, and will be phased in between August and October this year.
The timetable was confirmed following public consultation in May and June, this year, in conjunction with the National Transport Authority. Around 1,930 customers participated in the consultation.
All improvements and changes are due to take effect from August 26.
