Excitement building ahead of fundraising table quiz in Waterford

There is great excitement building in County Waterford at the moment ahead of a fundraising quiz which will be the first fundraising event of the year for one of the Déise county's hardest working committees.

The Tourin Hall Committee will stage the event on Saturday, February 22, and it will take place in the Sportsman's Bar, Cappoquin and will follow on from a very well attended first committee meeting of the year, which took place on Wednesday, January 15.

There are great plans in place for the coming year and the committee is working on a very busy calendar of events for 2025 with many enjoyable fundraising events planned.

The forthcoming quiz is an annual event and one that is always well supported and as one of those involved in organising it commented: "First up is out annual quiz, scheduled for Saturday, February 22, so get the teams together and start swotting on local knowledge and other random topics."

The next committee meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 12, at 8pm. New members with an interest in the community, energy and fundraising ideas are always welcome, and anyone interested in getting involved in the community is invited to pop their head in the door at the next meeting and "get stuck in".
