Essential road works to take place this evening in County Waterford

The "essential" roadworks will be carried out this evening from 6pm to 11pm

Waterford City & County Council has announced that essential roadworks will be carried out one a busy road this evening, Thursday, August 7.

The works will be taking place on the Tramore Road (R675) from 6pm to 11pm with the local authority spokesperson describing the works as "essential".

"Waterford City & County Council shall be carrying out some essential road repairs this evening, August 7, from 6pm to 11pm, on the Tramore Rd (R675) close to the Tramore Roundabout," said the spokesperson in a statement.

While two-way traffic will be maintained motorists are advised to expect minor delays.

"Waterford City & County Council apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused," said the spokesperson.

The works will carried out on the inbound lane of the road.
