Entries for the Waterford Business Awards open soon

Entries for this year's Waterford Business Awards are open on Monday, August 10.

The gala awards ceremony itself will take llace later this year, on Friday, November 13, in the Tower Hotel.

The awards, organised by Waterford Chamber in collaboration with Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber, and supported by Waterford City & County Council and WLR, are aimed at celebrating the outstanding achievements, innovation and resilience of businesses across Waterford City and County.

According to the organisers this year's awards will feature a "refreshed range of categories" for businesses of all sizes and sectors in Waterford, from start-ups and entrepreneurs to established leaders. 

Applications for the awards close on Wednesday, September 9 at 5pm, and are open to all businesses in the county, whether or not they are chamber members.

With over 15 categories, every business in Waterford is in with a chance to shine, with awards for customer service, marketing, sustainability practices among the various categories.

Launching the awards, Waterford Chamber president Eadaoin Carrick said: "The Waterford Business Awards continue to celebrate the very best of enterprise across our region, showcasing the innovation, ambition and resilience that make Waterford such a strong place to do business."

Meanwhile, Tommie Murphy, President of Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, added: “We are encouraging businesses from across the county to get involved."

"The awards are a fantastic opportunity to benchmark your progress, celebrate your successes, and connect with the wider business community," said Mr Murphy.

"The awards night itself is always a highlight in the business calendar," he added.
