The car was extensively destroyed in the fire which occurred on the Outer Ring road in Waterford City
Emergency services are at the scene of a car fire in Waterford City.
The incident occurred shortly after midday and it's believed only one vehicles involved. The blaze occurred on the Outer Ring Road near the Tramore roundabout which is a very busy area of the city.
It's believed nobody was injured in the incident, however, the car involved is believed to have been completely destroyed.
It's expected there will be traffic delays and motorists are advised to avoid that area if possible.
It's believed the blaze took hold quickly and at the time of publication a cause of the fire was unknown.
