A driver has been fined €300 for holding her mobile phone while driving in Waterford.
Shannon Adele Doherty (28), of Glenview, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, was seen by Gardaí driving down the Cork Road while on her phone.
At Waterford District Court, Garda Gregory Ashe told Judge Kevin Staunton that the accused was on her mobile while driving a Volkswagen Passat.
Garda Ashe observed the driver holding the device on the evening of August 22, 2025.
Judge Kevin Staunton issued a €300 fine and ordered the defendant to pay the amount within the next four months.
The defendant was not present in Court.
