Daffodil picking event happening in Waterford this weekend
People can pick their own daffodils to celebrate the season of spring.
The Waterford Rotary Club will host a Daffodil Weekend near Portlaw this weekend, March 21 and 22.
People are invited to pick their own daffodils from a local field, with all proceeds going directly to the Irish Cancer Society.
Adam from Killowen Orchard has kindly donated use of the field for Rotary to organise the fundraiser.
The field is located just outside Portlaw village beside Mountbolton Equestrian Centre, and it promises to be a lovely, family-friendly community event where people can enjoy the stunning display of spring flowers while supporting the fight against cancer.
There will be QR codes at the event where people can donate to the Irish Cancer Society.
