Daffodil Day's continued Déise fundraising success

Waterford had a hugely successful Daffodil Day event, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, on Friday, March 22, when a whopping €74,000 was raised. 

This involved planning from early January with over 200 committee members, event leaders and volunteers organising local fundraising events. 

A large number of Waterford venues contributed to the final figure raised. 

"We thank most sincerely the retail outlets who gave us permission to collect on their premises, along with smaller retailers. 

"We are forever thankful to you, the general public, who donated so generously as always and have made Daffodil Day one of the biggest fundraisers in the calendar," said a spokesperson for Daffodil Day.
