Waterford Gardaí arrest man twice in three hours

Gardaí arrested the man in Waterford on suspicion of drink driving.

Gardaí in Waterford recently arrested the same man two times, within three hours, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On the An Garda Síochána X account (formerly Twitter), they stated they stopped a driver at a checkpoint in Waterford, who was detected driving under the influence and without a license. The man was arrested and detained at a station for several hours.

Once he was released, Gardaí witnessed him return to his car and almost collide with an oncoming taxi.

Gardaí re-arrested the man and tests revealed he was over double the legal limit. The man was charged and will appear in court at a later date.
