Curraghmore House and areas in Portlaw feature in the new Belgian crime drama, 'This Is Not A Murder Mystery'

A well-known landmark location in County Waterford features in a new TV drama series airing in Belgium.

The trailer has just been released for, 'This Is Not a Murder Mystery', which is a major new Belgian television drama.

The series was partly filmed in the Curraghmore Estate, in Portlaw, County Waterford. 

The production team chose Portlaw as one of its filming locations in 2024, making use of the town’s rich architectural and cultural heritage to recreate the glamour and tension of 1930s Europe. 

The series was directed by Hans Herbots and written and created by Christophe Dirickx and Paul Baeten. The original idea came from Matthias Lebeer

Set in the flamboyant 1930s, 'This is Not a Murder Mystery', is a six-part crime drama series that sees a group of world-renowned Surrealist artists finding themselves trapped in a lavish mansion with a mysterious serial killer on the loose.

Local landmarks and scenery in Waterford provided an atmospheric backdrop for several key scenes, showcasing the town on an international stage.
