The new inclusive play area proposed for Abbeyside

Waterford City and County Council is inviting the public to make submissions on a proposal to develop an inclusive play space at Abbeyside, Dungarvan.

The council has given notice that development works are proposed to be carried out in the open spaces off Friars Walk, Abbeyside, Dungarvan and will consist of: The installation of a new, inclusive play space within an existing amenity area; Perimeter planting on the westerly wrap-around for the provision of a green framework; Associated pedestrian pathways to provide access from the existing public right-of-way boardwalk on the seafront and Friar’s Walk/Strandside public footpath and Ancillary seating, signage and bicycle parking.

The plans are available for inspection or purchase at the civic offices on Davitt's Quay, Dungarvan from March 19 to April 22.

Submissions can be made in writing, by email or online before 4pm, on May 7.

Written submissions, clearly marked 'Inclusive Play', can be made to the Director of Services Roads, Water & Environment,  Waterford City & County Council, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford.
