Anyone looking for a fun and relaxed way to practice or improve their Irish should take note of an initiative taking place in County Waterford at the moment.
Tramore's Ciorcal Comhrá,
Whether you're fluent, a little rusty, or just starting out, the Ciorcal Comhrá in Tramore is a weekly Irish 'conversation circle' and the ideal place to chat, laugh, and learn together.
One of the organisers commented: "We meet every Thursday at 7pm in Tramore Library, so do come along for a warm, welcoming evening of Irish conversation."
"There’s no pressure whatsoever," she said.
"Just a great opportunity to use whatever Irish you have in a friendly setting while meeting with like-minded people, boosting your confidence in Gaeilge and keeping our language alive," she added. All levels and abilities are welcome to participate.
"We’d love to see you there so make a plan to join us this Thursday and let’s get chatting," she said.
"It's the perfect moment to get involved given that the period around St Brigid's Day has traditionally been recognised in Ireland as a time for fresh starts and new beginnings," she added.
She went on to comment: "Our Ciorcal Comhrá is saor in aisce and there is a céad míle fáilte roimh gach duine."
