Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a number of car related incidents
The Gardaí in Waterford are investigating reports of a number of car break-ins that occurred across the city throughout last week.
A spokesperson for the force told Waterford News & Star that a number of cars were broken into, damaged and that attempted thefts of the vehicles also occurred.
"This spans right across the city," said the spokesperson.
"There were a number of cars broken into on the O’Reilly Road area of the city just off the Cork Road, Lismore Lawn, Lisduggan, Hazelbourne and in the Ardkeen Village area close to the Dunmore Road," she said. Some incidents occurred over the bank holiday weekend and through into Wednesday morning, June 4.
"CCTV has been obtained and investigations are ongoing," said the spokesperson.
Anyone with information or any relevant video doorbell footage is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300.
"Some of the incidents are believed to have occurred early in the morning between 5am and 7am, so we would ask anyone travelling to work at this time to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activities," said the Garda spokesperson.
