Call out for all playwrights as Waterford theatre group celebrates 20th anniversary

Stagemad Theatre Company in Tramore, Co Waterford is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

With that in mind the company is inviting writers to submit plays for a special autumn production. 

The event will feature five, 15-minute plays, with submissions open to writers of all ages and experience levels. Plays must be 15 minutes long with simple settings, and all genres are welcome including comedy, tragedy, farce, fantasy and horror. 

New and emerging playwrights are strongly encouraged to participate and aspiring directors are also welcome to express their interest. 

The event will be a fundraising initiative and royalties cannot be offered for selected plays, however, it presents a great opportunity for up-and-coming as well as established playwrights to have one of their short works staged locally. 

The theatre company is very appreciative of the support it has received over the last 20 years and everyone involved is looking forward to what will be a milestone event.
