A new bus stop that will service two West Waterford attractions will not be in place until after the tourist season.
Councillor Kate O’Mahoney raised the issue from Ardmore at the June sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore District Council.
“I have been advised that the Local Link, the stop at the mini zoo and glamping pods, there is a lot of work in progress being made there, but that stop will not be in place until September.
"So the owner of both the zoo and pods, as well as guests and visitors, they are going to lose out on another season, and so I’m wondering if Local Link or Active Travel could fast-track this,” said Cllr O’Mahoney.
Director of Services for Roads Gabriel Hynes said they would raise the issue with Local Link.
