The incident is under investigation.

The gardaí in County Waterford are seeking the public's assistance in relation to a burglary that occurred at the weekend.

A spokesperson for the force said the incident occurred in Coolfin, Portlaw, 1pm on Friday, August 14, and around 9.10am the following morning, Saturday, August 15 - when it was discovered that the house had been ransacked.

One female suspect was arrested and Gardaí are asking anyone who saw anything of relavance to report it to Gardai at Tramore.

"It is understood that there were other suspects involved in the burglary," said the spokesperson in a statement to Waterford News & Star.

"Two specific items stolen were a Waterford Crystal Decanter and some climbing gear," she added.

The investigation is ongoing.
