Arrested at Waterford's Guillamene bathing area for intoxication

On August 28, gardaí in Tramore Garda Station received a call from members of the public at the Guillamene bathing area.
Upon arrival, the gardaí’s attention was drawn to a man asleep in his car.
After waking, the man became irate with gardaí.
The man was heavily intoxicated and was brought to the station.
He was identified as Robert Howlett (36), who has an address at Magenta Hall, Santry, Dublin.
He has eight previous convictions, including for assault and multiple offences contrary to the Public Order Act.
In court last week, Judge Kevin Staunton said if the man comes to no further attention in the next 12 months, the matter will be struck out.
