Appeal made for information relating to man missing in south east

Valdis Jansons was reported missing

The Gardaí have issued an appeal for information from members of the public in relation to the search for a man reported missing in the south east.

Valdis Jansons (59), from Kilkenny, was reported as missing from Kilkenny City on Monday, August 19.

A Garda spokesperson said Valdis was last seen on Wellington Square, Kilkenny, on Friday, August 9.

He is described as being approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height with a thin build. He is bald with black/grey hair on the sides and is unshaven. It is not known what Valdis was wearing when last seen.

The spokesperson said Gardaí are concerned for his well-being.
