ALERT: Two roads closed in Waterford for emergency repair works
Emergency road closure
Waterford City and County Council have announced the emergency closure of two roads in the county.
The R678 at Curraghkiely on the Clonmel side of Rathgormack is currently closed.
Diversions are at L7086 to R680 and L7085-L3061 to R680.
The closure is to facilitate the immediate repair of an ESB Pole with transformer due to storm damage.
The road is expected to be reopened later this evening.
Separately the R680 at Darrigal, Portlaw will be closed from 7pm to 6am tonight, December 12, 2024.
The closure is to facilitate the repair of a water main.
The public is asked to follow the diversion.
