A man in his 30s has been charged in relation to a cash-in-transit robbery in Dublin on Friday.

Security employees at a cash machine in Cornmarket were threatened by a man armed with a hammer shortly after 6am.

The man took a cash box and fled the scene, but was later arrested. All the cash was recovered.

The man is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Saturday.
