Man (20s) dies in Dublin city centre collision with truck

A man in his 20s has died in a road traffic collision in Dublin city centre.
The collision between a truck and a cyclist occurred at the junction of Middle Abbey Street and O'Connell Street in Dublin 1 shortly before 1pm.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
No other injuries were reported, gardaí said.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently examining the scene, and local traffic diversions are in place.
Road users have been asked to take alternative routes due to delays, and Luas Red Line services have been suspended between Smithfield and The Point.
Transport for Ireland said on X that Luas services are operating between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield only.
Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption, the post added.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Road users and pedestrians with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were in the area of Middle Abbey Street and O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Wednesday, have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
