The scenes in the Co Armagh town came after three consecutive nights of trouble in Ballymena, Co Antrim

Multiple cars and properties were set on fire in Ballymena while rioters hurled petrol bombs, fireworks and masonry at police officers.

Chief Constable Jon Boutcher slammed the ‘despicable scenes’.

Fireworks, petrol bombs and other missiles were thrown by youths at police lines in Nailors Row in the city.

The teenager has been charged with two counts of rioting and one count of possession of a weapon with intent.

The man is due to appear in court on Monday
