Former European figure skating gold-medallist Michael Olohan was today described as a "gentle soul" following a jury's finding that his killer should be found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity

Sean Murphy (29) pleaded not guilty to the murder of Michael Olohan (35) in August 2020

Dr Ronan Mullaney told prosecution counsel Ronan Kennedy SC that when Sean Murphy stabbed Michael Olohan to death, Mr Murphy was "acutely psychotic"

The jury has been told that the accused was 25 at the time of the killing while Mr Olohan was 35.
