U2, Andrea Corr and Daniel O’Donnell were among those who attended the service in Donegal on Friday afternoon.

A funeral mass for Brennan will take place at 2pm in St Patrick's Church, Meenaweal, Crolly in Donegal, with interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery, Gweedore.

The musician and songwriter was a member of the Grammy award-winning Celtic fusion pioneers.
