The Irish Farmers’ Association has been protesting at Bord Bia’s offices since January 26th.

The action in Co Kildare was organised by the Irish Farmers’ Association.

Martin Heydon said he would consider commissioning an expert-led review into issues raised by the IFA.

The comments came after a meeting between Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon and farming representatives.

The Irish Farmers’ Association and the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association have called for his resignation.

Sinn Féin has said it is ‘untenable’ for Larry Murrin to remain in post as chairman of Bord Bia.

Irish Farmers’ Association president Francie Gorman said it was in farmers’ best interests for Larry Murrin to stand down.
