Tánaiste Simon Harris defended the EU’s response to the US over Greenland and said it was a ‘wake-up call’ for Europe.

Helen McEntee said: ‘We cannot join a structure that essentially will try to mimic or undermine the UN Security Council.’

‘Anything Putin is considering joining with the word peace in it does not sit well,’ Simon Harris said on Thursday.
