The local Coroner and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have been notified.

The HSA says their latest figures show a “concerning rise in (workplace) fatalities”, particularly among the self-employed and farmers.

The incident occurred at 11.30am on Tuesday in Ardfinnan.

Emergency services were called to a premises close to the town of Tullow however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
