Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) is currently investigating what it calls a "locally significant" fish kill in Co Louth.

Father Gerry Campbell appealed at the joint funeral for three members of the O’Connor family for more resources to be devoted towards mental health.

A man in his 30s was arrested as part of the investigation and has since been charged.

Mark and Louise O’Connor, and their son Evan, were found dead at the family’s home in Dromgowna, outside Tallanstown village.

A detailed forensic and technical examination is underway at the property, an endeavour that is also likely to take a few days

Gardaí said they were alerted to the incident in Drumgowna, Tallanstown, this morning and found the three victims, a man and a woman in their 50s and a man in his 20s, at the scene.
