A US court has heard that the extreme injuries Jason Corbett sustained were “a measure of how terrified Molly Martens and her father were” on the night he was beaten to death

A forensic pathologist, called to give evidence for the Prosecution, told the hearing on Thursday the cause-of-death finding by Irish authorities in the case of Mags Corbett who died in 2006 was "wrong"

The voluntary manslaughter conviction carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, but only if there are extensive aggravating factors that are unlikely to come into play in this case.
