Revenue officers found 50 kilos of suspected cannabis on Wednesday in Castlebellingham.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.

The driver of the first car, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The man has since been charged and will appear before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court on Friday.
