The WRC heard a patient at the hospital had made a complaint on June 2nd 2025 in which the individual concerned was described as “very talk, dark skin, shaved head, not Irish” and someone who was giving out teas and coffees and helping with patient care.

The event at Balcarrick Beach in Donabate, Co Dublin, was organised to raise funds for cancer care at the Mater Hospital in the Irish capital.
