Mboko slipped during her singles match on Wednesday and withdrew from the doubles event on Thursday morning.

The 44-year-old American and her 19-year-old Canadian doubles partner Victoria Mboko secured a 7-6 (2) 6-2 first-round win.

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion teamed up with Victoria Mboko for a first-round doubles victory.

The world number one will face Iva Jovic in the last eight after beating Victoria Mboko.
