Aleksandras Kuznecovas (38) and Jonas Pavilionis (46), both of no fixed abode, appeared before a sitting of Cork District Court on Friday afternoon.

A total of seven premises were searched, and a number of items were seized.

An operation involving the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau as well as armed units arrested five men in the Dublin area.

The two men were arrested on Tuesday as apart of an ongoing investigation into organised criminal activity and the sale and supply of drugs.

They are operating nationwide and are suspected as being involved in organised crimes including burglaries nationwide, drug trafficking, counterfeiting, theft and other property crimes.

The platform, known as Ghost, was used to facilitate criminal activity including drug trafficking, money laundering and instances of extreme violence, authorities said.

Further arrests are expected following the multi-million euro haul.

It is understood millions of euro worth of cocaine has already been recovered in this operation and a number of arrests have been made.

Drugs valued at more than €103 million have been seized up to the end of June.

He was one of two men arrested on Tuesday following a search conducted at a property in Limerick.
