The men brought the challenge after they were prosecuted for allegedly preventing National Parks and Wildlife Service officers, and gardaí, from getting access to their lands at Cloneen bog in Longford.

Last week, two people appeared before Athlone District Court in relation to an alleged incident of violent disorder in Deanscurragh, Co Longford on Thursday.

A male and a female (both aged in their 20s) were subsequently charged and are due to appear before Athlone District Court
